IT Job Fraudster in Hyderabad has been arrested by the cybercrime police after allegedly cheating job seekers out of ₹50 lakh. The scammer impersonated HR professionals from top IT companies, luring victims with fake job offers and collecting money for bogus recruitment processes.
Hyderabad: A 25-year-old man from Bangalore was detained by the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police for using Telegram to provide fictitious IT job placements in international corporations to job seekers.
The accused, Bandi Ajay Kumar, who was born in Cuddapah, Andhra Pradesh, deceived multiple people by pretending to be a job adviser and enticing them with offers of lucrative positions at firms such as Accenture.
In order to appear convincing, he used professional language and tone when contacting victims over WhatsApp and advertising phony job openings on Telegram groups. In addition, he conducted interviews, made fictitious employee profiles on LinkedIn and other job boards, and spoke via internet calls.
The IT Job Fraudster in Hyderabad came to light when a 25-year-old man from DD Colony, Amberpet, filed a complaint after transferring ₹2 lakh to Ajay Kumar, believing he had secured a job with a ₹6 lakh annual package.
Nevertheless, the accused stopped all communication following the payment. A case was filed in accordance with certain parts of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and parts 66C and 66D of the IT Act.
