India Pakistan cricket ties cut has become a major national demand after the Pahalgam attack. A legendary former India cricket captain has passionately urged the government to cut all cricketing ties with Pakistan immediately.

India Pakistan cricket ties cut has turned into a major talking point across the country. Following the shocking Pahalgam attack, a legendary India captain issued a strong statement demanding that all cricketing relations with Pakistan be terminated without delay. He emphasized that terrorism and sports cannot go hand in hand, reflecting the nation’s mood for decisive action against hostile acts.
In the wake of the Pahalgam terrorist assault, Sourav Ganguly, the great Indian captain, has joined Shreevats Goswami in calling for India to sever all cricket relations with Pakistan. The terrorist incident in Pahalgam on Tuesday claimed the lives of at least 26 people.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has stated thus far that it will stick to the Indian government’s position and boycott bilateral series against Pakistan. Additionally, it denied claims that the Indian board has requested that the International Cricket Council (ICC) place India and Pakistan in different groups for the next international competitions.
Ganguly Demands India Pakistan Cricket Ties Cut After Pahalgam Attack

However, Ganguly believes that “terrorism cannot be tolerated” and that the BCCI and India should cut off all cricketing links with Pakistan.
“100 per cent, this (breaking ties with Pakistan) should be done. Strict action is necessary. It is no joke that such things happen every year. Terrorism cannot be tolerated,” Ganguly said on Friday, strongly supporting the demand for India Pakistan cricket ties cut. With India being the biggest financial power in cricket, the decision to enforce an India Pakistan cricket ties cut would severely impact Pakistan’s cricket team and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), especially through negative commercial effects during ICC events.
India have not been playing bilateral cricket with Pakistan since 2012-13 due to poor relations between the two countries. Since then, they have only met each other in ICC and Asian Cricket Council events.
India last travelled to Pakistan for a cricket assignment in 2008.
Goswami, a former Bengali cricket player, had previously declared that India should end its cricket boycott of Pakistan.
“SAY NO TO CRICKET! And this is exactly why I say — you don’t play cricket with Pakistan. Not now. Not ever. When BCCI or the government refused to send India to the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, some had the audacity to say, ‘Oh, but sport should rise above politics.’ Really? Because from where I stand, murdering innocent Indians seems to be their national sport. And if that’s how they play — then it’s time we respond in a language they truly understand.
Not with bats and balls. But with resolve. With dignity. With zero tolerance. The call for India Pakistan cricket ties cut has never been louder, and it is the only right response to continued acts of terrorism,” he wrote on X.
