The couple, Aditya Singh and Nandini Solanki, had plans to get married on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya. About a week prior to the wedding, however, Nandini fell ill. Initially, she received treatment at a hospital in her village of Kumbhraj. However, as her condition worsened, she was transferred to Binaganj, located 25 kilometers away.

Despite her health improving progressively, doctors advised total bed rest, which ruled out the possibility of a traditional wedding ceremony. As the next suitable muhurta was two years away, both families opted to hold the wedding inside the hospital.
The OPD space could be decorated for the event because hospital officials concurred with the decision. Although Aditya and his wedding party arrived, the customary “band-baaja” was omitted for the sake of the other patients.
The wedding ceremonies commenced at one a.m., under the vigilant oversight of doctors and nurses. During the ceremonial saat phere, Aditya affectionately carried Nandini in his arms around the fire while family members showered the newlyweds with flower petals.
