When a neighborhood homeowner saw what was occurring, they quickly alerted the police, who arrived and dispersed the mob. Later, the cops secured the ATM center and took down the shutter. They also told the bank personnel.

The cops were informed by the bank personnel that an excess amount was being issued since the system may have had some technical difficulties.

Later, the police put up a picket at the ATM center to keep people from congregating there. Later that night, bank representatives showed in and fixed the problem.
