Kannadigas insult Koramangala hotel incident has left the public furious after a video of an ugly and derogatory remark directed at Kannadigas, posted on a hotel signboard in Koramangala, Bengaluru, went viral on social media.
Since then, the police have taken down the inflammatory message from the property and begun a thorough inquiry into how it got there.
The owner of the hotel, who is from Kerala and now lives abroad, said the person who made the display tampered with the digital signs.
“The individual who created the digital board changed the text to convey the disparaging message,” he said.

In accordance with Section 196 of the Indian Penal Code, which addresses actions that foster animosity between various groups and are detrimental to public harmony, the Madiwala police filed a suo motu complaint against the hotel employees after the event.
Additionally, the owner has received a notification ordering him to come in for interrogation.
According to preliminary investigations, the hotel had contracted with a Koramangala-based business for three years to handle its changeable message display system. In the past, the hotel has complained about the display’s inconsistent and unexpected messaging.
The changeable message system has been confiscated, according to a police official, and officials from the signs business have been called to explain how the system works and how this particular unpleasant message was permitted to show.
